At Bukdit, our goal is to create a fair, transparent, and reliable experience for both clients and service providers. This policy explains how cancellations work, refund eligibility, and responsibilities for both sides.
1. For Users (Clients)
When you book a service through Bukdit, you are reserving the service provider's time and resources. Please read carefully before confirming a booking.
Cancellation Window
- You may cancel your booking up to 7 days before the event date to be eligible for a refund.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are not eligible for a refund of the main service fee.
- Any cancellation fees charged by the service provider are non-refundable, even if you cancel more than 7 days in advance.
Refunds
- If you cancel more than 7 days before the event, you will receive a refund minus any cancellation fees.
- If you cancel within 7 days of the event, you will not receive a refund for the service booked.
How to Cancel
- Go to your Orders page and select the booking you wish to cancel.
- Click 'Request Cancellation' and confirm your choice.
- Your cancellation will be reviewed by Bukdit Support before being finalised.
- You will be notified by email once your request is approved or declined.
Important Notes
- Frequent last-minute cancellations may result in temporary account restrictions or suspension.
- Always double-check event details and availability before booking to avoid unnecessary cancellations.
2. For Service Providers
As a service provider on Bukdit, you are committing to delivering services for confirmed bookings. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but cancellations affect client trust and the platform's reputation.
Cancelling a Booking
- If you must cancel a booking, go to Jobs → Job Details and select 'Request Cancellation'.
- The client will automatically receive a full refund, including any cancellation fees.
- Once submitted, your cancellation request will be reviewed by Bukdit Support before being finalised.
Impact of Cancellations
Frequent cancellations, particularly close to the event date, will be closely monitored and may result in:
- Lower visibility in search results.
- Temporary restrictions on new bookings.
- Potential account suspension for repeated last-minute cancellations.
Timing of Cancellations
- Always cancel as early as possible so clients have time to find an alternative service provider.
- Last-minute cancellations (e.g., on the event day) are strongly discouraged and may result in stricter penalties.
Important Notes
- You will not be paid for any booking you cancel.
- Clients will be refunded in full, regardless of any cancellation fees you had set.
- Cancellations should only occur in exceptional or emergency circumstances.
3. Bukdit Support Review
All cancellations, whether by a user or service provider, are manually reviewed by Bukdit Support to:
- Confirm the validity of the cancellation request.
- Prevent abuse of the system.
- Ensure both parties are treated fairly.
Statuses will update as follows:
- Pending Review - The cancellation request is being reviewed by support.
- Approved - The cancellation has been approved and processed.
- Declined - The request was not approved, and the booking remains active.
Notifications are sent to both parties once a decision is made.
